2015 Department 66 ‘Others’ Red Blend

Nose: Blackberry, black cherry, violet, chocolate, and coffee. 

Palate: Plum, cherry cola, chocolate, backing spice, dried lavender, and licorice. This wine has a good balance of acid with gripping tannins and a long dry finish. 

Notes: 
75% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 15% mixed red (Carignan, mourvèdre, Lladoner).
Fermented in 30% New French oak for 18 months. 
5 months bottle aged before being released.

Meant to be drunk early. 

Drink: Now to 2022 

Pairing: Veal, pork, game meat, and beef.
