2016 Blason D’Issan Margaux

Nose: Dark rich fruit prevalent plum and cherry. Notes of chocolate and hazelnut as well of prevalence of earthy elements

Palate: Firm tannins with plenty of balanced earth. Deep ripened black plum and black cherry with complimenting flavors of hazelnut and chocolate. This wine has a full body with a round mouthfeel.

Notes:
Second wine released by Chateau D’Issan in 1995, using fruits from their youngest vines in Margaux appellation. (85% of vines are still over 25 years old, despite being newer vines).

This vintage had uniform and abundant flowing, and did not suffer from over ripening due to hot summer.

Blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 60% merlot
