2016 Neyers Chardonnay – Carneros, CA –

Nose: Hazelnut, crème brûlée, lemon curd, and under ripe pineapple. 

Palate:  Hazelnut, crème brûlée, toasted marshmallow, and juicy citrus. This wine has a rich and round mouthfeel. The oak is not overpowering and is nicely integrated. 

Notes:
Made using whole cluster grapes.
Fermented using New French oak.
Undergos natural malolactic fermentation with no artificial starter.
Additional contact with lees after barrel fermentation.

Pairing: Chicken, risotto, crab, butter poached lobster, grilled fish, scallops.
