2017 Brooks Estate ARA Riesling – Willamette Valley, OR –

Nose: Guava, honeysuckle, pineapple and juniper berry. 

Palate: Red apple, orange, dried apricot, grapefruit, ripe melon, and pear. This wine is dry with zippy acid that dominates residual sugar. It is well balanced with a delightful mineral finish. 

Notes:
Only 300 cases produced. 
Blend of fruit from two old vine vineyard sites. 
Grown on a mix of volcanic Basalt and marine sedimentary soil. 
One of founder Jimi Brooks first riesling labels, named after a constellation.

Pairing: Thai food, roasted duck, grilled fish, tuna poke, and Asian inspired cuisine.
