2017 De Ponte Cellars Melon De Bourgogne D.F.B – Oregon –

Nose: Floral wine with notes of jasmine and peach blossoms. The citrus is refined with subtle orange peel. 

Palate: zippy acid with notes of peach and orange on the finish. This wine is bright and lively. 

Notes:
Originally thought to be Pinot Blanc when grapes were first planted. 
Can stand on its own and is good with or without food. 
Grown on famous Willamette Valley Jory soil. 
This wine is best drunk young.  

Drink: Now (2020) 

Pairing: Seabass, Salmon belly crudo, fried chicken oysters, scallops, mussels, clams, oysters rockefeller, seafood risotto.
